Paws 4 Wellness × Pettable
A collaboration since 2022

Ethical ESA evaluations. Affordable ongoing support. A shared commitment to the human-animal bond.

Since 2022, Paws 4 Wellness founder Jennifer Bronsnick, MSW, LCSW—licensed clinical social worker and author of My Pet Is Better Than Your Therapist—has collaborated with Pettable to support therapists, educate pet owners, and bring practical mental wellness resources to clients.

Our collaboration connects two priorities: helping clinicians conduct ethical, clinically sound, and defensible emotional support animal evaluations—and helping clients continue nurturing their emotional well-being through the Paws 4 Wellness app.

This work centers on an important relationship: the connection between a person’s mental health needs and the support their animal provides.

ESA evaluations 01

Meet Pettable

Pettable connects people seeking emotional support animal (ESA) evaluations with licensed mental health professionals. Through a clinical consultation, the provider assesses whether an ESA is appropriate and determines whether to recommend one and provide supporting documentation.

Meet Paws 4 Wellness

Paws 4 Wellness is a mental wellness platform built around the bond people already have with their pets.

Founded by Jennifer Bronsnick, MSW, LCSW—licensed clinical social worker and author of My Pet Is Better Than Your Therapist—the platform brings Pet Medicine into everyday life through an accessible app, experiential workshops, and professional education.

The framework

The 5 Paws

Our framework starts with Connection as the foundation, supported by Movement, Mindfulness, Tapping, and Reflection—the 5 Paws. These practices help people create small, repeatable moments of emotional support throughout the day, from feeding their pet in the morning to winding down before bed.

01 Provider education

Supporting the Therapists Who Support Pet Owners

Jennifer provided Pettable’s therapist onboarding training, bringing her clinical experience and knowledge of the human-animal bond into provider education.

The goal is to help therapists approach ESA evaluations with thoughtful assessment, sound clinical reasoning, and clear documentation that supports their professional decisions.

Ethical evaluation means understanding the individual’s needs, assessing the role of the animal, and making a recommendation based on clinical judgment.
02 Client access

Support That Continues Beyond the Evaluation

Our clients are using the Paws 4 Wellness app to access affordable, ongoing mental wellness support.

The app helps people turn their connection with their pets into an intentional daily practice. Through the 5 Paws, users can explore simple ways to pause, move, notice their experience, tap, and reflect.

A practice can fit into an ordinary moment: waiting in line, brushing teeth, feeding a pet, or getting ready for bed. The aim is to make support easier to return to, multiple times a day.

03 Public awareness

Bringing Ethical ESA Care Into the Conversation

Jennifer also collaborates with Pettable’s marketing team to help spread accurate, accessible information about ethical ESA evaluations and the human-animal bond.

By bringing a clinician’s perspective into public education, we aim to help people understand the purpose of an evaluation, the importance of professional judgment, and the ways their relationship with an animal can support everyday well-being.

With a Broader Purpose

Our collaboration brings together provider education, client access, and public awareness.

It illustrates how Paws 4 Wellness can work alongside an established organization to offer practical resources at several points in a person’s experience—from the professional conducting an evaluation to the client seeking ongoing support.

We’re interested in building more partnerships that make these tools accessible wherever people live, receive care, and connect with their pets.
